Call for Papers

The AEE Canada East is planning the 4th Annual Energy Conference in the fall of 2024 in October at Pier 21 in Halifax. This conference aims to create an information and idea exchange focused on building capacity around reducing carbon emissions from the built environment.

The conference will present a wide variety of ideas intended to help participants chart their own personal or organizational path to carbon neutrality. Evaluation, design, construction, commissioning, operations, and financing all play key roles in the decarbonization journey and should be used to focus proposed topics.

  • Innovative building design strategies
  • Strategic low carbon community energy systems
  • Building integrated renewable energy strategies
  • Climate change impacts on the built environment
  • Energy efficiency in buildings
  • Pathways to zero carbon buildings
  • Carbon implications of building renovations
  • Strategies for reduced carbon associated with operations
  • The role refrigerants play in the decarbonization conversation

If you are interested in speaking at one of these conferences, you’re invited to submit an abstract for consideration.
